A tiny, additional note on Lodge Kerrigan: he had a movie called In God’s Hands, where the negative was ruined at the photo developer’s, or something of that sort. It starred Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal - if I’m not wrong, they met on the project. When I was in an elevator with Sarsgaard (for An Education roundtables) I asked about the project. It had to have been a heartbreaker. He said he ended up with hypothermia while acting in one scene.
The other fascinating thing about the Keane DVD is that it has a more straightforward edit done by Steven Soderbergh. It simply doesn’t work.
